STATEMENT OF FAITH

The Statement of Faith of Father GOD Soldiers sets forth the biblical convictions upon which this movement stands.
Our beliefs are rooted and grounded in the Holy WORD of GOD, which is our final authority in matters of faith, doctrine, and living.

I. GOD the Father

Key Scriptures: Deuteronomy 6:4; Ephesians 4:6; John 3:16

Our Conviction
We believe that the LORD GOD is one. He is holy, righteous, gracious, merciful, omnipotent, omniscient, and omnipresent, and He is worthy of all glory, honor, worship, and praise.
We believe that GOD loved the world and sent His only begotten Son, Jesus Christ, that through Him we might be saved and receive eternal life. We desire above all things to know the Father, love Him, obey Him, serve Him, and do His will according to His Holy WORD.

II. Jesus Christ

Key Scriptures: John 1:1; John 1:14; Acts 4:12; 1 Corinthians 15:3–4

Our Conviction
We believe that Jesus Christ is the only begotten Son of GOD, the WORD made flesh, and the Saviour of the world. He was sent by the Father, died for our sins, was buried, and rose again the third day.
We believe that salvation is found in Jesus Christ alone. He is the way, the truth, and the life. He is our Lord. He is risen, is seated at the right hand of GOD, and He shall come again.

III. The Holy Ghost

Key Scriptures: John 14:26; John 16:13; Acts 1:8; 1 Corinthians 12:4–11

Our Conviction
We believe in the Holy Ghost, the Spirit of truth and the Comforter, whom the Father sends in the name of Jesus Christ. He teaches, guides, comforts, strengthens, and leads the people of GOD into all truth.
We believe that the Holy Ghost empowers believers to be witnesses of Jesus Christ, helps us in our infirmities, and produces spiritual fruit in the lives of those who walk in the Spirit. We are called to be led by the Spirit, walk in the Spirit, and not grieve the Holy Spirit of GOD.
The Holy Ghost is our Leader and Guide throughout life's journey. He gives spiritual gifts, power, wisdom, knowledge, and abilities according to the will of GOD, equipping His people for the work to which they are called. Through His leading, we are strengthened to serve the LORD and accomplish His will.

IV. The Holy Scriptures

Key Scriptures: 2 Timothy 3:16–17

Our Conviction
We believe that the Holy Scriptures are the WORD of GOD, given unto mankind by the inspiration of GOD and preserved for our learning, reproof, correction, instruction in righteousness, and spiritual growth. The WORD of GOD is truth and is our final authority in matters of faith, doctrine, and Christian living.
We believe that the Scriptures reveal the will and ways of GOD, testify of Jesus Christ, teach us the way of salvation, and equip the people of GOD for every good work. Therefore, every Father GOD Soldier is called to read, study, meditate upon, rightly divide, obey, and live according to the Holy WORD of GOD.

V. Creation

Key Scriptures: Colossians 1:16–17; Genesis 1:27; Revelation 4:11

Our Conviction
We believe that the LORD GOD is the Creator of heaven and earth and all that is therein. He is our Creator, and we are His creation. We were created for His pleasure and His glory.
We believe that GOD created mankind in His own image, male and female, and gave mankind dominion and responsibility over His creation. Because GOD is our Creator, our lives belong unto Him, and we are called to honor, obey, serve, and glorify Him in all that we do.

VI. Sin and Repentance

Key Scriptures: Romans 3:23; 1 John 1:9; Acts 17:30

Our Conviction
We believe that all have sinned and come short of the glory of GOD, and that the wages of sin is death. We believe that if we confess our sins, GOD is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. Through Jesus Christ, there is forgiveness, redemption, and salvation from sin.
We believe that GOD commands all men everywhere to repent—to turn from sin and turn unto Him. True repentance brings forth a change of heart and life, leading us to confess and forsake sin, seek the LORD, and walk in obedience to His WORD.

VII. Salvation in Jesus Christ

Key Scriptures: John 3:16; Acts 4:12; Romans 10:10; Colossians 1:13–14; Ephesians 2:8–10

Our Conviction
We believe that salvation is the gift of GOD to mankind through His Son, Jesus Christ. There is salvation in no other, for Jesus Christ is the way, the truth, and the life, and no man cometh unto the Father but by Him.
We believe that we are saved by the grace of GOD through faith in Jesus Christ. Through Christ, we are delivered from the power of darkness and have redemption through His blood, even the forgiveness of sins, reconciliation with GOD, and eternal life.
Salvation calls us to a new life in Christ—a life of faith, repentance, obedience, holiness, and faithfulness unto GOD.

VIII. Baptism

Key Scriptures: John 3:5; Matthew 3:11; Acts 2:38; Romans 6:4; 1 Corinthians 12:13

Our Conviction
We believe that except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the Kingdom of GOD. We believe in baptism with water and baptism with the Holy Ghost, and with fire, according to the Holy Scriptures. For by one Spirit are we all baptized into one body, whether we be Jews or Gentiles, whether we be bond or free; and have been all made to drink into one Spirit.
Through water baptism, the believer publicly declares a new life in Christ, having died to the old life and being called to walk in newness of life. We believe that those who receive Jesus Christ are called to follow Him in obedience, including His command concerning baptism.

IX. The Ten Commandments

Key Scriptures: Deuteronomy 4:13; Romans 7:12; Revelation 14:12; Ecclesiastes 12:13; 1 John 5:3; John 14:15

Our Conviction
We believe that the Ten Commandments of GOD are holy, just, and good. We believe that the people of GOD are called to love, honor, obey, and keep His commandments. We are to fear GOD and keep His commandments, for this is the whole duty of man.
We believe that love for GOD and obedience to His commandments are joined together in the Holy Scriptures: “For this is the love of God, that we keep his commandments: and his commandments are not grievous.” — 1 John 5:3 (KJV)
Jesus Christ also said, “If ye love me, keep my commandments.” — John 14:15 (KJV)

X. Prayer

Key Scriptures: Ephesians 6:18; 1 Thessalonians 5:17; Philippians 4:6

Our Conviction
We believe that prayer is vital to the life of every believer and is our continual communication and communion with GOD. Through prayer we seek the LORD, give thanks, make our requests known unto Him, intercede for others, seek His wisdom and direction, and submit ourselves to His will.
Every Father GOD Soldier is called to pray always, watch with perseverance, and remain steadfast in prayer. As soldiers of Jesus Christ, we acknowledge that we cannot depend upon our own strength; therefore, we continually seek the LORD for His strength, wisdom, guidance, and help as we serve Him and carry out His will.

XI. The Church/Body of Christ

Key Scriptures: 1 Corinthians 12:27; Colossians 1:18; Ephesians 4:12

Our Conviction
We believe that Jesus Christ is the Head of the Church and that believers are members of His body. Though we are many members with different gifts, callings, and functions, we are one body in Christ and are called to love, strengthen, encourage, and serve one another.
Every Father GOD Soldier is called to labor and faithfully use the gifts given by GOD for the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, and for the edifying of the body of Christ. Every member has a place and purpose in the body and is called to fulfill that purpose for the glory of GOD and the work of His Kingdom.

XII. The Kingdom of GOD

Key Scriptures: Matthew 6:10; Matthew 6:33; Romans 14:17

Our Conviction
We believe in the Kingdom of GOD and that GOD is King and sovereign over all. We are called to seek first the Kingdom of GOD and His righteousness, submitting ourselves to His authority, His will, and His ways.
Every Father GOD Soldier is called to labor for the Kingdom of GOD, proclaim the Gospel of the Kingdom, and faithfully use the gifts, abilities, and resources entrusted to us for His glory. Our desire is that the will of GOD be done in our lives as it is in heaven, as we look for the coming Kingdom and the return of our LORD Jesus Christ.

XIII. The Second Coming

Key Scriptures: Matthew 24:44; Revelation 1:7; John 14:3

Our Conviction
We believe that Jesus Christ shall come again according to His promise. He shall return from heaven in power and glory, and every eye shall see Him. Therefore, it is not time to get ready, but to be ready.
Every Father GOD Soldier is called to watch, pray, remain ready and faithful until Jesus Christ comes. We are to endure unto the end, keep the faith, and live in obedience and holiness as we await the glorious appearing of our LORD Jesus Christ.

XIV. Resurrection / Judgment

Key Scriptures: Acts 24:15; Ecclesiastes 12:14; 2 Corinthians 5:10; Hebrews 11:13

Our Conviction
We believe that there shall be a resurrection of the dead, both of the just and unjust. We believe that GOD has appointed a day in which He will judge the world in righteousness. Every person shall give an account unto GOD for their works, whether they be good or whether they be evil, according to the Holy Scriptures.
We believe that this present life is not the end. We are strangers and pilgrims on the earth. Therefore, every Father GOD Soldier is called to live with eternity in view, overcome, and walk in faith, obedience, holiness, and faithfulness unto GOD, knowing that we shall all stand before Him and give an account.

XV. Eternal Life

Key Scriptures: 1 John 5:20; Titus 1:2; 1 Timothy 6:12

Our Conviction
We believe that eternal life is the gift of GOD through Jesus Christ our LORD. This is the promise that GOD has given unto His people. Jesus Christ is the way, the truth, and the life. Eternal life is found in knowing the only true GOD and Jesus Christ, whom He has sent.
We believe that this present world is not our final home. Therefore, every Father GOD Soldier is called to set their affection on things above, fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, endure unto the end, and remain faithful unto GOD as we look for the promise of eternal life and everlasting fellowship with the LORD.
